How to roast peppers at home
Instructions
- Preheat the oven on broil to 240 degrees C / 465 degrees F
- Cut the peppers in half and remove the core and seeds
- Line the pan with aluminum foil, add the pepper halves in an even layer (skin side up) and add a drizzle of olive oil and salt (this step is optional)
- Place the peppers as close to the broiler element as possible
- Roast the peppers for about 10 minutes or until the skin is blistered and charred
- Remove from heat, transfer to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap
- Wait 30 minutes before removing the skin and seeds from each pepper
